Etsy Love: Scenic Glory

Last week I got a wonderful surprise in the mail... a print from the new shop Scenic Glory ! I had ordered one just as soon as I heard her shop had opened and was so excited to see it arrive! Lindsay's style is simple, inspiring, and so creative. I would love to own all her prints! :) Check out Lindsay's blog and shop for more inspiring and creative things. Here are a few more of her prints that I would love to own!

Kittens and Boxes

Love this! The music's fun and of course the kittens are cute. Tell me this doesn't remind you of something that would've been on Mister Roger's? Who says you need expensive cat toys? These kittens can't get enough of that poor Coca-Cola box! Lol. So cute!! This poor little kitten looks like an Ewok! And she's stuck in a tissue box, poor thing. I just want to scoop her up and cuddle her!!!

Rolling in the Deep

The following video kind of annoys me, but I'm in love with the song, so I'll forgive it's annoyances. Like, for example, why do they show her singing while sitting down?? Any good singer knows you can't get that kind of deep, resonating sound while sitting down. My eight years of choir and voice classes are arguing with their logic here. Just sayin'. Anyway, I'm sure you're already very familiar with this song, as it's been in Billboard's Top 10 since April 16th and dominated the #1 spot for 7 weeks during May and June. I had to share it now though, because it kept showing up in shows and movies that I've been watching this week, so it's totally stuck in my head. Oddly enough, the first time I heard Adele 's song,  Rolling in the Deep , I wasn't that impressed. Not sure why. Then the 2nd time I heard it, the beauty of it dug into my soul and I got chills. Since then, I can't listen to it enough! Adele manages to tap into su...

When my life slows down...

I had a whole post written out on the mobile app and then it got deleted.... You ever have days like that? Lol. I was waxing on and on about how when my life slows down, apparently so does my blog writing! The days are already blurring together and I've only been unemployed for a week (if you count the partial week I was suspended) . I've been spending my days sleeping in, applying for every office job I can find, catching up on TV shows, and knitting up a storm (new items to my Etsy shop soon!!) . Today I plan to eat breakfast (yes, I woke up at noon) and then I told myself I have to go register with some temp agencies. Why do I feel nervous about that? Probably because it feels a bit like a job interview, which always makes me nervous. Bleh... Oh, I made homemade popcorn last night! Until I get my final paycheck in the mail, I'm kind of limited in food choice to what's already in my cupboards. I remembered that I still had some popping corn in there, so I wh...

Excited

Well... it's done. No turning back. I got home from my parent's just now (at 1:00 am) , so figured I should just rip the band-aid off and call them . After thinking over all the possible scenarios (as well as talking them out with my parents) , I realized that the most efficient and productive move I could make would just be to leave a voicemail with my "I quit!" speech. If I go in to their meeting, they'll just make me feel guilty and try to talk me out of it. If I quit over the phone, they'll probably do the same thing. Sending a letter would get there AFTER the meeting, so would freak them out when I no-showed to the meeting. There's no possible way the meeting itself could go well - even the "best case scenario" would be that I keep my job and have to keep working with those untrustworthy people. Going in to the meeting and quitting in person would just be embarrassing and I would cry. So... I decided voicemail was the way to go. I ...

A Lot Less Stressful

Well I'm posting from my iPhone today, so no pictures for you. For some reason the Squarespace app crashes and burns when I try to load photos with it. Lol. I'm feeling slightly better today, emotionally and physically, unless you count the nervous stomach feeling that won't go away. I took my forced vacation day and went to visit my parents. My mom's always good at being comforting and my dad's good at dispensing practical advice. Plus I was driving myself crazy sitting alone in my apartment with all the "what if"s running around in my head. I'm 99% sure that I'm going to quit. The more I thought about all the shady things they've done in the past to other previous employees, the more I realized that they most likely were going to make it really difficult for me to be there and/or fire me when I went in, even though they already said they weren't going to. And really, considering that I did nothing wrong, what can I promise them to mak...
