Need an Inexpensive Option to Promote Your Blog?

Hi I'm Jennifer! I write a lifestyle blog, mainly about my adventures in:  photography ,  graphic design , and  knitting , and usually a little bit of  what I'm reading  &  what I'm watching . Oh & also sometimes also what my cat Carlita is up to! ;) Stats: I currently have 3700+ page views per month (up 48% from last month!) , 80 readers on GFC, 120 Pinterest followers, and 208 Twitter followers (as of June 20 2012). The Details: I started using Passionfruit ads as a way to make both our lives a little easier. When you purchase a large or medium ad below, your ad will run for 30 days from the start time, at which point you'll have the option to renew if you like. Throughout the month, I'll promote you via Twitter, as well as through a once-a-month sponsor highlight post! Large ad spots also have the option of participating in a group giveaway. Swapping is also available using my Small ads. If you're a smallish blog with ...

What I've Read #2

I've actually read this book twice in the past year and got quite a bit of wisdom out of it each time! Non-Designer's Design Book is recommended for novice and professional designers alike. It's really easy to understand but still gives solid design advice. I'm sure you've heard of this book by now, as it's been making the rounds on the blogs and book clubs. I'm currently reading the next book in the series, but just wanted to give Divergent , the first book in this new Veronica Roth series, a shout-out. It's a quick read, and if you're a fan of young-adult, dystopian fiction, you'll probably love it. You may or may not have noticed that I only made it about 2 weeks into my 365 project . Lol. I may or may not pick it up again, now that school's out. But... if you are ever considering starting your own 365 project, this book will give you a lot of inspiration! I've been eyeing this book for years and was given it for my ...

The 10:00am Project

So... this idea surfaced back a few weeks ago when I was researching doing a 365 project. These guys took pictures of their lives at 7:15pm (in their own time zones) and posted the pictures side-by-side for a year. They continued this for 4 years!! It's pretty interesting looking through some of their photos, especially when they happened to be visiting each other and had similar photos for the day. I didn't want to commit to a four-year photo project, but my sister and I thought this one sounded interesting enough to try for a week. 7:15pm seemed too boring of a time for us ("And here I am eating dinner... again...") , so we decided on 10:00am instead. We actually took this a couple weeks ago, but due to my grueling finals schedule, I am just now remembering to post it! Enjoy. :) WEDNESDAY, MAY 30 THURSDAY, MAY 31 FRIDAY, JUNE 1 SATURDAY, JUNE 2 SUNDAY, JUNE 3 MONDAY, JUNE 4 TUESDAY, JUNE 5

A Walk in the Beautiful Oregon Outdoors

I've made it a goal to get a little exercise this summer, so the other day I walked down to the lake near our house. It was so beautiful! Too bad there's no swimming allowed, because it would've been the perfect day for it. *** How do you stay in shape when you sit for a living?

A Book Survey

I found this fun book survey over on Sasha's blog , so I thought I'd fill it out! Let me know if you take it too - I'd love to see what books we have in common. :) What are you reading right now? Honestly? Not a lot. I mean, I have a million books started, but my brain's been a little busy lately with finishing up the term, so I haven't settled into reading for awhile. Do you have any idea what you'll read when you're done with that? I started reading Insurgent shortly before finals started, so I'll probably make that the first book to finish up this summer. What 5 books have you always wanted to read but haven't got around to? How 'bout we make it... what have I started and really want to finish but haven't quite gotten around to? Lol. 1. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe series (I'm about 2 or 3 books into it - I've been meaning to finish it for years now). 2. Anna Karenina (despite the uppity-sounding title, it...
