Zooey and Joe

Two of my favorite people, this video is so adorable! This music video for She & Him , staring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt had me smiling the entire time. :)

Ed Graves - Excellent Guitar Player!

Wow this guy is impressive. I could listen to him play all night!

Celebrities Doing Their Thing

Yesterday when I was scouring my YouTube history for some of my favorite Photoshop tutorials , I ran across this great video of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon doing the History of Rap. You probably have seen this before, but it was my first time seeing it and I found it pretty entertaining. This made me reminiscent for some of the other videos I've seen of celebrities doing their thing a little more informally, which I always find quite fascinating. When someone's in a movie or doing a concert, they're performing in a different way than when they're just hamming it for the camera, and those slightly more down-to-earth moments are very interesting to me. Here's one that I've found recently, but realized I hadn't shared yet. This trick can also be found in the movie Pitch Perfect. Yes, it really was her doing this in the film! (cut to about 1 minute on this one if you want) You've probably seen this one of JayZ also, as it was going viral a ...

REVIEW: Songza

Have you heard of Songza ? I recently discovered this website (they also have an iPhone app) and it's pretty amazing. Basically it knows what day/time it is and recommends playlists for you based on what you might be doing. Monday night? Maybe you need an instrumental playlist with no lyrics to help you study? Friday night? Maybe you need an update dance playlist? You can also search by "popular playlists", artist name, etc. I mainly use it for when I'm studying, for background lyric-less music, but you can also find many Pandora-like playlists on here as well. Anyway, I've been meaning to give a shout-out to this app for awhile, so hope you find it useful! First I picked "Working (No Lyrics)". Next I picked "Acoustic Guitar Instrumentals". Then I started playing the playlist! If the one you first try isn't your cup of tea, they also list similar playlists to choose from, or you can choose any playlist that you may have saved ...

Somebody That I Used To Know

Considering that this song is #4 on iTunes, you've probably already heard it, &/or added it to your iTunes library. However... I just discovered this song this past weekend and have probably listened to it a dozen times in the past couple days, so I had to share it with you. I can't get enough of the haunting melody! I also found a fascinating cover of the song on YouTube. The intensity of the music isn't quite as good as the original, but overall the video is pretty cool. As someone who took one semester of guitar about 10 years ago, I can't even imaging how difficult it must be to play one guitar with 4 other people while you're all singing! Lol. They make it look remarkably easy though. ;)

Shuffle

Here's a fun thing to do:    put your iPod on shuffle    and just listen to whatever comes up! I did this the other day while driving to school and it was kind of cool to hear songs that I'd either not heard for awhile or completely didn't remember putting on there in the first place. Take a listen! :) Adele - Rolling In The Deep - YouTube by ... on Grooveshark When We Dance by Sting on Grooveshark I Hope You Find It by Miley Cyrus on Grooveshark Debaser by Rogue Wave on Grooveshark All My Life by Five Miles Out on Grooveshark

Rolling in the Deep

The following video kind of annoys me, but I'm in love with the song, so I'll forgive it's annoyances. Like, for example, why do they show her singing while sitting down?? Any good singer knows you can't get that kind of deep, resonating sound while sitting down. My eight years of choir and voice classes are arguing with their logic here. Just sayin'. Anyway, I'm sure you're already very familiar with this song, as it's been in Billboard's Top 10 since April 16th and dominated the #1 spot for 7 weeks during May and June. I had to share it now though, because it kept showing up in shows and movies that I've been watching this week, so it's totally stuck in my head. Oddly enough, the first time I heard Adele 's song,  Rolling in the Deep , I wasn't that impressed. Not sure why. Then the 2nd time I heard it, the beauty of it dug into my soul and I got chills. Since then, I can't listen to it enough! Adele manages to tap into su...
