That's really interesting! I've never been to the West Coast but I've lived on the East Coast all my life :) I don't think it's too far off, although I don't know any graphic designers who went to 2 year programs. Everyone I know is self-taught or did a 4 year fine arts degree. Also, never seen a designer dress like the East Coast stereotype either! :)
