What I've Watched #4

Bunheads

Did you catch the new show, Bunheads this week? You can watch the first episode on the ABC Family website if you missed it. I think it might have potential, since it's written by the same lady who wrote Gilmore Girls, but so far it's a bit obnoxious. Hopefully it gets better.

I give it a 1.5 out of 5 stars.

One for the Money

I'm probably the only one who hasn't read this book series, but after seeing One for the Money, which is based off the first book in a series by Janet Evanovich, I think I just might have to. This movie (for those of you who live under a rock like I do) follows department-store-clerk-turned-bounty-hunter, Stephanie Plum, as she tries to track down her ex-boyfriend who jumped bail. Very funny, interesting storyline, and mostly clean. (There were some potentially questionable scenes, but they were handled pretty tastefully).

I give it a 3.75 out of 5 stars.

American Ninja Warrior

I accidentally recorded American Ninja Warrior a couple weeks ago because my TiVo thought it fell under the category of "Gymnastics", which I have an auto-record set up for. I was remarking about this to my sister, who was quick to defend this oddly titled show, so I decided to give it a try. Turns out, it's really, really fun! I had never heard of it before, but apparently it's a pretty big deal in certain circles. Basically it's a parkour-style obstacle course that people can compete in. The best of the best get to try out a super, amazing, huge, Japanese-style obstacle course that only 3 people in the world have ever actually completed. Crazy weird and kind of cool, huh?

I don't think you can watch any of the old episodes online, but if you have the channel G4, you wouldn't be lost if you jumped in now. They've completed about half of the qualifying rounds and then they still have the finale obstacle course rounds to do. Although it does get a bit monotous after awhile, it's still an interesting way to pass the evening.

I give it a 2.75 out of 5.

I am honored to be sharing a post with you today on Jen's blog, so thanks for having me! I recently completed a mini album that I made out of a pasta box so I wanted to share a tutorial with you so you could make your own! What you need: empty pasta box [I used a whole foods penne pasta] scrapbook papers & embellishments a single hole punch sturdy tape [like packaging tape] a paper cutter and/or scissors some sort of binding, either binding rings or ribbon First, you are going to flatten out your pasta box. Then you are going to cut it down to two 6x6 squares [or whatever size album you want to make]. If the box doesn’t fit perfectly in those shapes that’s alright, just piece them together using packaging tape to hold the squares together. Once you cover them i

Meet a Designer: Stephanie Kubo

I stumbled across a completely fascinating artist today, Stephanie Kubo . Her portfolio doesn't state if she's a working designer, illustrator, etc, but her work is exquisite so I think she fits the bill for including in my Meet a Designer series. Enjoy! (Linking up with Kristen Victoria ).
