12 Steps to Making Me More Healthy

via

#1

-- Stop avoiding stairs. Stairs are my new best friend.

#2

-- Drink more water. American's are way more dehydrated than we realize.

#3

-- Read more. A happy mind is a less-stressed-out mind.

#4

-- Eat more veggies and fruits. Especially local varieties.

#5

-- Eat smaller portions of a higher variety of foods. Boredom of the tastebuds leads to overindulgence.

#6

-- Stop using the computer in bed. Beds are for sleeping in, not working in.

#7

-- Go outside more. I hear there's this new invention out there called fresh air.

#8

-- Stop stressing about my shops so much. Make what I love and people will follow.

#9

-- Make an effort to get to church every week. God loves meeting me there.

#10

-- Clean / throw away stuff more often. Dustbunnies clutter the mind as well as my living space.

#11

-- Make more art. For fun, not for profit.

#12

-- Eat less processed "food". Because it's not really food anyway.

  3. This is a great list!! I try to do a lot of these things...some I am more successful at than others. The fact that "fresh air" in non-existent in Manhattan is really prohibiting me from accomplishing #7. And #3 would have a negative effect on me...I already read too much [law school=tons of horribly boring reading that makes me think too much]. I'm pretty good at 4, 5, 10, 11 & 12. For me, I'd need to add less TV & less solitaire on my phone to the list!! I need to find another way to relax that isn't so bad for me!! Good luck with accomplishing your list :)

DIY Art Journal

Hi, my name is Linda and I am a 25 year old law student living in Manhattan. I blog over at My Passion Is... about my life, scrapbooking, DIY crafts, photography, exploring NYC & more. I am honored to be sharing a post with you today on Jen's blog, so thanks for having me! I recently completed a mini album that I made out of a pasta box so I wanted to share a tutorial with you so you could make your own! What you need: empty pasta box [I used a whole foods penne pasta] scrapbook papers & embellishments a single hole punch sturdy tape [like packaging tape] a paper cutter and/or scissors some sort of binding, either binding rings or ribbon First, you are going to flatten out your pasta box. Then you are going to cut it down to two 6x6 squares [or whatever size album you want to make]. If the box doesn’t fit perfectly in those shapes that’s alright, just piece them together using packaging tape to hold the squares together. Once you cover them i
