Most Embarrassing Moment

I can't for the life of me remember a recent embarrassing moment. Either I've blocked them out or I'm just too old to get embarrassed anymore. Lol. Today's post topic reminds me of the go-to answer I've always used for this question in the past though, so that's what I'll share with you.

So I think it was 8th grade or so... I was on an overnight retreat with my classmates. We stayed in some barn in the middle of nowhere that had bunk-beds and a tv in it - that's pretty much all I remember about the setting. Oh, and we watched The Cutting Edge (remember that movie?).

So I had been sick that week but still really wanted to go on the retreat anyway. I had been feeling better, but apparently not fully better, because at one of our group inspirational talks, I ended up throwing up all over myself... and the girl sitting next to me... in front of probably 30-40 of my classmates. Awesome...

Everyone was really nice about it, of course, but being an eighth-grader, and a very SHY eighth-grader at that, it was pretty mortifying.

What about you? What's your most embarrassing moment?

  1. Love that film- "Toe pick". Most embarrassing moment was probably turning up to a birthday party at a friends house a week early only for said friends to tell everyone and laugh about it at school all week!

  2. Oh gosh, puking in public is sooo embarrassing in general, let alone in middle school! Something similar happened to me during choir practice in the 8th grade. I had to excuse myself, didn't even get permission from the teacher - just ran out and puked down the hallway until I got to the bathroom. TERRIBLE!!!

Meet a Designer: Stephanie Kubo

I stumbled across a completely fascinating artist today, Stephanie Kubo . Her portfolio doesn't state if she's a working designer, illustrator, etc, but her work is exquisite so I think she fits the bill for including in my Meet a Designer series. Enjoy! (Linking up with Kristen Victoria ).

DIY Art Journal

Hi, my name is Linda and I am a 25 year old law student living in Manhattan. I blog over at My Passion Is... about my life, scrapbooking, DIY crafts, photography, exploring NYC & more. I am honored to be sharing a post with you today on Jen's blog, so thanks for having me! I recently completed a mini album that I made out of a pasta box so I wanted to share a tutorial with you so you could make your own! What you need: empty pasta box [I used a whole foods penne pasta] scrapbook papers & embellishments a single hole punch sturdy tape [like packaging tape] a paper cutter and/or scissors some sort of binding, either binding rings or ribbon First, you are going to flatten out your pasta box. Then you are going to cut it down to two 6x6 squares [or whatever size album you want to make]. If the box doesn’t fit perfectly in those shapes that’s alright, just piece them together using packaging tape to hold the squares together. Once you cover them i
