What I've Watched #3

Like any good student, I'm adept at procrastination. Here are some of the movies/shows that have been helping me! ;)

I re-watched the entire series of Felicity recently (all 4 seasons). I'd forgotten how it all ended - kinda crazy! Is it just me, or should they have ended the show after the college graduation episode? Other than that... LOVE this show and could watch it every day.

I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

This was a typical disaster movie, but I tend to enjoy those, so it was fun. Best part was that they saved the origin reveal until the very end!

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Another Earth

Not the sci-fi adventure that this sounds like, this was a fascinating indie film shot with basically no budget in the filmmaker's own house, and which surprisingly co-starred an actual semi-famous-guy (who, as it turns out, basically did it for nothing because he liked the script). Overall it was a pretty brilliant movie.

I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The Hunger Games

This movie needs no introduction. If you haven't seen it... read the book first.

I give it 5... no make that 7... stars out of 5.

Gossip Girl

I'm finally caught up on Gossip Girl! Watched all of season 5 this past week actually. Between this show and Felicity, it's making me wish I could afford to live in NYC. Maybe someday...

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I have come to the realization that I may have been mis-typed. I have often taken personality tests and generally come up with the result that I am INFP. I recently took a test that said I was INFJ actually, and the more I have been researching, the more that actually sounds like me.

What it really comes down to is the external/internal focus of the different functions (a topic that I'm still trying to wrap my head around, so I apologize if I don't explain it right). The I--J tends to actually function more as a "Perceiver" than a "Judger", contrary to what you might think (and vice versa for the I--P), which is a common reason these two types are mistaken for each other. How it actually plays out though is quite distinctive, which is why once I started reading more about INFJ's, I realized how much more like me it sounded. Basically, there are...

DIY Art Journal

Hi, my name is Linda and I am a 25 year old law student living in Manhattan. I blog over at My Passion Is... about my life, scrapbooking, DIY crafts, photography, exploring NYC & more. I am honored to be sharing a post with you today on Jen's blog, so thanks for having me!

I recently completed a mini album that I made out of a pasta box so I wanted to share a tutorial with you so you could make your own!

What you need:
empty pasta box [I used a whole foods penne pasta]scrapbook papers & embellishmentsa single hole punchsturdy tape [like packaging tape]a paper cutter and/or scissorssome sort of binding, either binding rings or ribbon First, you are going to flatten out your pasta box.

Then you are going to cut it down to two 6x6 squares [or whatever size album you want to make]. If the box doesn’t fit perfectly in those shapes that’s alright, just piece them together using packaging tape to hold the squares together. Once you cover them it won’t matter anymore. Make sure t…

Vintage Travel Poster

One of our projects this coming term is to do a computer illustration of a painted vintage travel poster. I've been Googling some options and here are some that I like. Which would you pick?
