About Blogging

(found this awesome survey over on Wonder Forest)

1. I started my blog because:
I think better with writing than with speaking. For years I kept a written diary. Now with the advent of blogging, this has quickly become my brain's default way of processing life.

2. One thing I love seeing on other blogs are:
When bloggers participate in a fun blog meme or survey (like this one!) that shows off their personality.

3. Something I love about blogging:
Having a little place of my own on the internet. It's fun to think of fun posts and to have a place to share ideas and pictures that I'm fascinated with. I also love meeting other women who think like me &/or are more creative than me and can inspire me to be a greater version of myself!

4. A favorite blog post of mine:
My latest "About Me" post is pretty fun. I like doing those every now and then to introduce myself to new readers.

5. Something my friends in real life know about me that I've never before mentioned on my blog:
I'm actually really, really quiet. I know I "talk" a lot online, but in real life I tend to be an observer and daydreamer.

6. My new favorite blogs to read are:
Always a fan of: Una Bella Vita - it is literally the only blog I haven't instantly deleted due to auto-playing music. Her beautiful and inspirational style makes up for any minor annoyance that auto-playing brings.

7. Some things I tend to avoid doing on my blog are:
I really try to avoid being negative on my blog. Sometimes I can't help it, but I find that when I allow myself to give in to my negative mood it only ends up fostering it further instead of getting it out of my system.

Meet a Designer: Stephanie Kubo

I stumbled across a completely fascinating artist today, Stephanie Kubo . Her portfolio doesn't state if she's a working designer, illustrator, etc, but her work is exquisite so I think she fits the bill for including in my Meet a Designer series. Enjoy! (Linking up with Kristen Victoria ).

DIY Art Journal

Hi, my name is Linda and I am a 25 year old law student living in Manhattan. I blog over at My Passion Is... about my life, scrapbooking, DIY crafts, photography, exploring NYC & more. I am honored to be sharing a post with you today on Jen's blog, so thanks for having me! I recently completed a mini album that I made out of a pasta box so I wanted to share a tutorial with you so you could make your own! What you need: empty pasta box [I used a whole foods penne pasta] scrapbook papers & embellishments a single hole punch sturdy tape [like packaging tape] a paper cutter and/or scissors some sort of binding, either binding rings or ribbon First, you are going to flatten out your pasta box. Then you are going to cut it down to two 6x6 squares [or whatever size album you want to make]. If the box doesn’t fit perfectly in those shapes that’s alright, just piece them together using packaging tape to hold the squares together. Once you cover them i
