The day a rock shattered our glass door.

A couple weekends ago, some people from our church had a yard-work fundraiser to raise money for their mission trip to Ecuador, so we had them come out and work on our yard. They really did a wonderful job! Our bushes and flower beds have never looked so trimmed!

When they left, my mom was like, "I've got some bad news..."

My first thought was... "Okay, who died?" but then I realized that she had a twinkle in her eye, so it had to be something else. She pointed to the sliding glass door that leads out to the patio. Apparently a rock had been flung up by a weed whacker and this is what happened...

Of course, I had to get some close-up shots with my 50mm lens too. I know this should feel like a bad situation, but I just love all the pretty spider-web patterns that this made!

  3. I love that shattered look, even though I know it will be costly to fix but it is wonderful that safety glass does work as this could have been so much worse :)

DIY Art Journal

Hi, my name is Linda and I am a 25 year old law student living in Manhattan. I blog over at My Passion Is... about my life, scrapbooking, DIY crafts, photography, exploring NYC & more. I am honored to be sharing a post with you today on Jen's blog, so thanks for having me! I recently completed a mini album that I made out of a pasta box so I wanted to share a tutorial with you so you could make your own! Then you are going to cut it down to two 6x6 squares [or whatever size album you want to make]. If the box doesn’t fit perfectly in those shapes that’s alright, just piece them together using packaging tape to hold the squares together. Once you cover them i
